Biographical / Historical

羅孚（1921-2014），原名羅承勛，廣西桂林人。其他筆名有絲韋、柳蘇、辛文芷、程雪野、宗蘭、吳令湄、文絲、石髮、史復、任文萱和封建餘等。

1921年出生於廣西桂林，1941 年加入桂林《大公報》當練習生。翌年，桂林《大公晚報》創刊，獲擢升為副刊《小公園》的編輯。1944 年湘桂大撤退，到重慶參與重慶《大公晚報》的復刊工作。1946 年參與編輯重慶地下黨刊物《反攻》。1947 年，在《民主週刊》專欄「無花的薔薇」寫的文章被編輯成《太平人語》一書，為首本出版的著作。

1948 年與吳秀聖結婚，同年到香港參與復刊香港《大公報》，後加入共產黨。1950 年參與《新晚報》創刊，先後任《新晚報》編輯、總編輯達三十二年，期間仍兼任《大公報》的副總編輯，並以不同筆名撰寫專欄。1954 年 1 月，一場在澳門舉行的香港武師打擂台比武引起港澳兩地關注，羅孚先後邀請梁羽生和金庸為《新晚報》撰寫武俠小說，蔚為風潮。而他為《新晚報》策劃刊登唐人的《金陵春夢》和宋喬的《侍衛官札記》亦廣為流行。1957 年在香港出版第一本散文集《風雷集》。1966 年與友人創辦《海光文藝》，邀請姚克、劉以鬯、徐訏、舒巷城和亦舒等寫稿。自來港至 1980 年代初，一直活躍於新聞界和文學界。

1982 年，被召到北京扣查，翌年被控間諜罪及判刑十年，隨後得到假釋。滯留北京期間，以程雪野、柳蘇和史復等筆名撰寫關於北京文化界和香港文學的文章，並出版多本著作。1993 年回港後在《聯合報》、《明報》、《蘋果日報》和《開放》等報章雜誌發表文章。1997 年，把藏書捐予廣西師範大學中文系，並成立「柳蘇文學獎」，後移民美國。2002 年回香港定居。2014 年 5 月 2 日在家病逝。
