Over 50 students of GBS and IBCE students attended the first career highlights workshop on 10 November 2016. Alumni who are currently engaged themselves in the financial industry were invited to share their working experience. They were Alan Yip (GBS, Class of 2013), Howard Yeung (GBS, Class of 2014), Boris Ng (GBS, Class of 2014), Selina Cheng (IBCE, Class of 2014) and Eric Kwan (IBCE, Class of 2015).
With an objective to provide a platform where students would be able to better understand the financial industry and help them explore their career interests, this career workshop covered the nuts and bolts of a graduate job in investment banking, commercial banking, brokering and assessment management. Job duties, structure, company culture and even daily routine were touched on. Students also had the chance to learn the tricks of the trades for internship and graduate job interview.
