Two Global Business Studies (GBS) teams formed by Year 1 students won the championship and the first runner-up at the Academic Cup 2011.
The Academic Cup is an annual business case competition organized by CUHK Business School that exposes business undergraduates to a real business case where they show how effectively they can apply their classroom learning to practice. This year, fifty-seven teams participated and eight teams entered the final round. One of the GBS teams, DIMA, comprising Anna Leung, Michael Ng, Dickson Pau and Isla Yu, won the champion. Another team, G4, comprising Michael Chiu, Karen Li, Zoe Ng and Sunny Yu, won the second place. The Best Presenter Awards went to Anna Leung and Zoe Ng.
