Q:When will HSK
Exam be held and how to apply?
A:CLC arranges HSK exam three times a year
(April, August and December). You can
search for other test centre/time from Hanban website
(http://www.chinesetest.cn).
Currently, CLC only accepts online registration. Please register
online at
(http://www.chinesetest.cn)
and a payment memo will be sent by email.

Q:What is the cost and payment method of HSK?
A: Payment can made by cash, cheque or credit card. You can download
the payment form at CLC HSK Page (http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/clc/HSK).
The exam fee is standardized among all the test centres in HK but
may be different between countries.

Q:Can I register the exam more than
one level ?
A: Normally, HSK level 2/4/6 are held in the morning (from 9am).
HSK level 1/3/5 are held in the afternoon (from
1:30pm), and HSK
speaking (all levels) held at 4:30pm. Student can register a maximum of
two consecutive levels from HSK level 1 to 6. However, students can
only register one level in speaking, because it starts at the same
time for all levels.

Q:Do you offer the exam in traditional
Chinese? Can I answer in traditional Chinese in the writing part?
A:Hanban offers the simplified Chinese
version only . Regardless of the exam
version, student can answer in traditional or simplified Chinese in
the writing part.

Q:I am a mainland Chinese/HK local.
Can I register for the HSK exam?
A:HSK is targeted to students learning Chinese as a foreign/ second
language regardless of the nationalities. For those whose mother
tongue/ first language is Chinese (usually heritage is Chinese, born
and raised up in China or Hong Kong), schools and employers may have
a higher expectation on your Chinese level. In that case, instead of
HSK, the Putongtua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) is more appropriately.
Interested students can register PSC test at Centre for Research and
Development of Putonghua Education (Tel: 3943 6749,

Q:When will the result is available
and how to collect the score report?
A:The result will be available online one month after the exam date.
Students can log in to their personal account at (http://www.chinesetest.cn).
Official score report will be sent to our centre by Hanban two
months after the exam date. Collection can made in person/by proxy
at the CLC general office. An announcement will be sent by email.
For the registered mail postal service of the score report, a
service fee at HK$30 for local mail and HK$50 for oversea mail will
be charged. Payment is to be settled together with the examination
fee. Students taking this option please fill in the mailing label in
the payment form before the deadline of payment.
