How to use LibrarySearch: Introduction

What is LibrarySearch?

LibrarySearch provides a one-stop search of the Library's collection including books, audio-visuals, journal articles, past exam papers, and more. Begin your search using the search box on the CUHK Library homepage or directly on the LibrarySearch page.

CUHK Login

You will be able to use the following library services after logging in to your CUHK account:

  • Get the complete results including access to full text of e-resources
  • View My Library Record
  • Off-campus access to e-resources
  • Renew and place a hold on books and videos, etc.
  • Request materials via HKALL, inter-branch book delivery and InterLibrary Loan
  • Download CUHK Examination Papers for undergraduate courses
  • Reserve a study room via the Library Room Booking System

 


To login, you may simply click on "My Library Record" shortcut on the Library Homepage: 

 

or on the LibrarySearch page / any search result page, click on "Login" at the top right-hand corner:

My Library Record

   

My Library Record

is your Library account that enables you to view the contents of your library account and perform library services.

After logging in to My Library Record with your CUHK account, you will be able to view the following information:

 

 Loans Displays all of your current and outstanding loans, and renew borrowed items
 Requests Displays all of your current requests, and allow you to cancel requests
 Fine +Fees Displays all of your current fees and fines
 Blocks +Messages Displays all general messages and any blocks that may prevent you from accessing services in the library
