Biographical / Historical

羅琅，1931年於廣東潮陽出生。筆有名羅隼、羅漫、羅烺、林琅、韓潮、書韻、愛楓和蔓沱蘿等。7嵗入學，不久日軍進侵華南，祖父母及父親先後亡故，與母姐逃荒投親，曾任小販及酒鋪學徒。戰後考進汕頭市立第一中學讀初中，1949年輟學往香港工作。因工作時間關係，未能入讀夜學，故參加社團活動，並為社團會訊撰稿。1952年進入上海書局工作，撰寫往來書信及廣告，其後晉升至發行主任。

在出版社工作的15年間，於夜學院文學系進修。修完課程，開始投稿，於《文匯報》、《鄉土》、《新語》、《南洋文藝》、《海光文藝》、《文藝世紀》、《海洋文藝》、《知識》和《南燕》等報刊發表。又為中新社撰寫副刊及通訊稿件。

1967年離開出版社，進入貿易行工作。1968年開始為《新晚報》寫《海畔抒懷》專欄。1980年開始為《晶報》撰寫專欄，直至該報於1991年停刊爲止。又於1983年開始為《華僑日報》寫《微言集》專欄，直至該報於1995年初停刊爲止。

與海辛、李陽及譚秀牧等人於1959年成立鑪峰雅集，每個星期天中午茶敘，談文說藝，以文會友；而雅集亦於1995年註冊為不牟利團體。文革期間與友人開辦宏圖出版社，再於1976年在中環開設宏圖圖書文具公司，至1988年結束。1990年出任香港作家聯會理事、司庫兼秘書長，並籌辦香港作家出版社。

著作有《兩葉集》(1962)、《北窗夜鈔》(1966)、《春雨集》(1970)、《潮州風物》(1970)、《魯迅文藝論》(1971)、《海畔拾荒集》(1972)、《潮州話故錄》(1972)、《羅隼短調》(1991)、《香港文化腳印》(1994)、《羅隼選集》(1996)、《香港文化腳印二集》(1997) 和《香港文學記憶》(2005) 等；並主編《鑪峰文集》。
