Library Summer Works 2022

The Library will be undertaking a number of summer improvements works this year in the various libraries and we apologize for any inconvenience this causes. The works are necessary to improve facilities and services in the Libraries and the optimum time to undertake them is in summer after the exam period. Please contact counter staff in the libraries if you need any assistance or have any concerns with the improvements works being undertaken when you are in the Library. 

University Library

  • Renovation and upgrade of the User Education Rooms
    User Education Rooms 1 and 2 will be unavailable during this period, and there will be noisy works on the G/F of the University Library.
    Works period: 30 May – October 2022

  • Relocation of Group Study Rooms 8 & 9
    Group Study Rooms 8 and 9 will be unavailable during this period, and there will be noisy works on the 3/F of the University Library Extension.
    Works period: 16 May – late August 2022

  • Renovation of toilets on the G/F of the Tin Ka Ping Building
    Toilets on the G/F of the Tin Ka Ping Building will be unavailable during this period, and there will be noisy works on the G/F of the University Library.
    Works period: 26 May – late September 2022

  • Renovation of toilets on the G/F of the University Library
    Toilets, next to User Education Rooms 1 & 2, on the G/F of the University Library will be unavailable during this period, and there will be noisy works on the G/F of the University Library.
    Works period: 30 May – late September 2022

  • Re-roofing and waterproofing works at the University Library Extension
    There will be noise at the University Library Extension.
    Works period: 11 July – 19 September 2022

  • Re-roofing of the Pool of the Forum
    Some study seats at the Learning Path of the Learning Garden will be unavailable during this period, and there will be noisy works at the Learning Garden. Please make use of other study seats inside the University Library.
    Works period: 12 July – 19 September 2022

CUHK History Gallery

  • Renovation of the CUHK History Gallery
    The CUHK History Gallery will be closed during this period, and there will be noisy works on the G/F of the University Library.
    Works period: Late May 2022 – January 2023
