The “Advances in Ophthalmology” (AinO) series was started by Prof Clement CY THAM and Prof Calvin CP PANG in May 2021 at the online Thursday CUHK Grandround to encourage and enhance clinical ophthalmology in Hong Kong and regions beyond. Presentations are given by prominent international speakers or local experts. The topics are on clinical trials, advances in disease detection, novel treatment modes, and new technologies. The audience are ophthalmologists, visual scientists, and research students in Hong Kong, as well as clinicians and scientists that collaborate with us on research, teaching and clinical services in mainland China and overseas. It is held about twice a month.
Previous international speakers include Professors Kyoko OHNO-MATSUI, Gemmy CM CHEUNG, David F. CHANG, Paul N. BAIRD, Graham E. HOLDER and P Mahesh SHANMUGAM.
