Congratulations to Prof Clement Tham for being elected as President of The College of Ophthalmologists of Hong Kong

We are delighted to announce that our Chairman, Professor Clement Tham, has been elected in as the President of The College of Ophthalmologists of Hong Kong. Prof Tham has taken up office on 15 July 2021, following the College’s Annual General Meeting. On learning of his election, Prof Tham said: “I am immensely honored, privileged, and humbled, to take up this role and to serve The College of Ophthalmologists of Hong Kong.”

Established as one of the 15 Colleges of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine, the College of Ophthalmologists of Hong Kong has the statutory power and responsibility to organize, monitor, assess, and accredit, all ophthalmological specialist training, and to oversee the continuing medical education and continuous professional development to maintain the very high standard of clinical practice by Specialists in Ophthalmology in Hong Kong. Its ultimate objective is to protect the vision and ocular health of our public community and minimize preventable blindness.
