He is devoted to undergraduate and postgraduate education, and has taken up the predominant task of implementing unprecedented, structured simulation ophthalmic surgical training for residents and fellows in Hong Kong. Internationally, D. Ng’s achievement in academic ophthalmology has been recognized by a number of awards, including the Gold Medal Award from the Asia-Pacific Vitreo-retina Society (APVRS) Leadership Development Program.
“Amongst Danny’s numerous major accomplishments, one of the most notable (for which I am also most grateful) is his enormous efforts to help establish the CUHK Jockey Club Ophthalmic Microsurgical Training Programme from its earliest days, which has since revolutionized the way our ophthalmic microsurgery is taught and practiced. Danny has overcome so many challenges to make this whole programme possible.
Dear Danny, My heartiest congratulations to you for moving on to this next important stage of your career! And thanks so much indeed for all your contributions towards advancing ophthalmology through better clinical services, teachings, and research!” said Prof Clement Tham, Chairman of DOVS, CUHK.
Please join us in congratulating Dr Ng on his remarkable achievement and to wish him every success in reaching new heights with fruitful accomplishments!
