In the past, Dr. Keung helped to develop the “Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers of Putonghua”. She is currently a Senior Manager in the Assessment Development Division of the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority. She leads a team of subject managers who take care of the assessment development of eight Elective Subjects in the Senior Secondary Academic Structure. These subjects include: Business, Accounting & Financial Studies; Information & Communication Technology; Design & Applied Technology; Health Management & Social Care; Technology & Living; Visual Arts; Music; and Physical Education. |
| Workshop Description |
With the implementation of the New Senior Secondary Curriculum in Hong Kong, secondary school teachers need to equip themselves by not only familiarizing themselves with the new curriculum, but also by understanding and planning how to deliver fair and reliable assessments. This workshop introduces participants to the general principles of assessments, illustrated with examples from past public examinations. Participants will be engaged in discussions about what constitutes a good assessment as well as how to deliver reliable tests and exams. |
