The new academic year in Hong Kong has just begun. After the summer holiday, lots of projects and homework are challenging the students’ capability in handling information. If you are one among them, you can learn to use information wisely by taking the online course InfoLit for U which is specially designed for local university students.

To enhance the capability of university students in analyzing and correctly using information, the library of 8 UGC-funded universities in Hong Kong has continued to offer the online course InfoLit for U, which covers the skills necessary in handling information in different scenarios.

The course, which is offered by the library of 8 UGC-funded universities in Hong Kong and launched on KEEP, is free, self-paced, non-credit bearing and designed for students in all years of undergraduate study. It includes a focal module that guides you on how to use information for university-level works, followed by discipline-related modules that teach you finding, evaluating and creating high-quality outputs related to your major study.

All Gone Well Done: The first episode

The course team has also launched the drama series All Gone Well Done as a promotion to the course. Featuring local actors Gregory Charles Rivers and Will Or, the story began with the death of Andy who was producing a documentary on urban renewal. The series went on with its characters seeking information to solve the mysteries behind Andy’s tragedy. Promoted by the course team and the actors, the series has drawn a total of 70 thousand views on Facebook.
