After being nominated for the edX Prize for Exceptional Contributions in Online Teaching and Learning, the course Dinosaur Ecosystems by The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is rerunning on 7 Oct 2018.

The MOOC, instructed by HKU’s vertebrate palaeontologist Dr. Michael Pittman in collaboration with his esteemed colleague Professor Xu Xing of the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, will virtually take learners to Erlian, Inner Mongolia, and leading museums and institutions to explore dinosaur biology, how palaeontologists reconstruct ancient ecosystems, and the traits and significance of a Late Cretaceous dinosaur ecosystem.

edX announced the finalists of the edX Prize for Exceptional Contributions in Online Teaching and Learning earlier this month. Dinosaur Ecosystems and nine other MOOCs will compete for the Price which will be announced at the edX Global Forum in November 2018.
