KEEP Investigators Received CUHK Teaching Awards

Prof. King Kuo-chin Irwin, the Principal Investigator of KEEP, and Prof. Lee Ho-man Jimmy, a KEEP Co-Investigator, received the Vice-Chancellor's Exemplary Teaching Award and the University Education Award 2017 respectively in the 83rd Congregation for the Conferment of Degrees of CUHK today.

Prof. King is a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Associate Dean (Education) of the Faculty of Engineering. He started the KEEP project with Prof. Isabella Poon, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK, and Prof. Kit Tai Hau, the Choh Ming Li Professor of Education Psychology of CUHK in 2014, developing e-learning platforms for offering online courses and searching educational resources. Prof. Lee is also in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

The Vice-Chancellor's Exemplary Teaching Award has been given in CUHK annually since 1999 by the Vice-Chancellor to exemplary teachers nominated by the Dean of each Faculty in recognition of their outstanding teaching performance. Nine awardees were presented with this award this year. The University Education Award was instituted in 2011-12 to honour academics for their commitment to the promotion of teaching excellence.
