The Department is looking for a Computer Technician II to join the software development team of Knowledge and Education Exchange Platform (KEEP). The appointee will (a) provide first line support to development team and second line support to end-users; (b) manage and configure the team’s VM and physical server infrastructure; (c) monitor and report network latency, security, health check and backup issues; and (d) assist in IT procurement and co-ordinate with vendors.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines from a recognised university or technical institute; (ii) at least 1 year’s experience in network and system administration; (iii) experience in Linux server and virtualisation platform administration, such as VMware, Hyper-V; (iv) experience in web and application server administration, such as Apache/Nginx; (v) self-motivation, good analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work as a good team member; and (vi) a good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. Fresh graduates will also be considered.

Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
