Visit from Emmanuel College, Cambridge

Two official Fellows of Emmanuel College of the University of Cambridge, Dr. Richard Barnes and Dr. Robert Henderson, were invited by the Planning Office of the S.H. Ho College for a visit to The Chinese University of Hong Kong during the period of 26-29 September 2008, with a view to steer future collaboration between the two Universities.

Prof. Dennis Lo, Director of the Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences, also a Fellow of the S.H. Ho College, invited Dr. Barnes and Dr. Henderson to visit the Institute on 26 September 2008.

During the visit, Prof. Dennis Lo’s team presented to the two Fellows, the latest progress in their research, as well as demonstrated several state-of-the-art technologies in the research, such as the use of plasma DNA/RNA analysis for non-invasive prenatal diagnosis.
