  • Workshops and Seminars

    • As at 31 October 2016, the Institute had conducted 74 seminars and workshops. A total of 120 training hours and over 2,500 participants were recorded.
    • Training was provided in different organizations including 7 hospitals in New Territories East Cluster, namely Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital, Bradbury Hospice, Cheshire Home, North District Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Shatin Hospital and Tai Po Hospital under the Hospital Authority; Care & Attention Homes; Jockey Club CADENZA Hub and Hong Kong Stoma Association.
    • Participants of the workshops included patients and their family members, volunteers as well as healthcare staff including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers and supporting staff.
    • About 900 evaluation forms have been  collected. In general,  participants including healthcare professionals, patients and public were satisfied with the training.

      Carers' Stress

      What is the stress on taking care of end-of-life patient? How is the stress affecting our daily life? The talk aims at exploring the source of stress, and the effect of long term stress on our body, then finds out ways to release stress. Also, relaxation exercise will be taught.
