Details | Speaker: Dr LEE Siu Lun (Head of the Cantonese Programme Division, the University Programme Section, Yale-China Chinese Language Centre) How familiar are you with Cantonese – the native tongue of locals, the integral part of Hong Kong’s tradition and culture? Join the upcoming activity of Urban Touch to explore with us the rich cultural history and colourful colloquialisms of Cantonese, as well as learning Canton slangs and idioms which are commonly used among local youth! Urban Touch is a cultural programme appreciating and conveying the stories, culture and heritage of Hong Kong. It focuses on different themes in relation to local culture and history, including craftsmanship, food culture, language and stories. |
