Details | Watching Hong Kong movies can be a fun way learning the colloquial usage and colourful expressions of Cantonese. In this activity, the Cantonese Peer Tutoring Team from the Cantonese Division of the University Programme Section of the Yale-China Chinese Language Centre will teach you some of the Cantonese slangs and idioms used in classic Hong Kong movie scenes and actor’s lines, and explore with you the interesting culture of Hong Kong.
About ‘Urban Touch’ Urban Touch is a cultural programme appreciating and conveying the stories, culture and heritage of Hong Kong. It focuses on different themes in relation to local culture and history, including craftsmanship, food culture, language and stories. |
