Engineers apply their knowledge of science and mathematics to the design and construction of structures, machines, devices, systems, materials and processes that improve people’s lives. The engineering spectrum encompasses a wide range of disciplines, with electronic engineering, manufacturing and industrial engineering and mechanical engineering being more relevant for students and graduates of CUHK.
The civil service offers a number of engineering positions in a variety of departments each year for graduates. Students may also seek employment in the private sector, e.g. in airlines, industrial and power plants, manufacturing or transportation service.
