With   creative ideas and related skill sets, the usefulness and appearance of almost everything we see and use in our daily lives can beimproved at different level. To name just a few, creative art and design can be further subdivided into: Interior Designs, Graphic Design, Advertising/Commercial Design, Jewelry Design, Industrial Design and Fashion Design.

 

Interior Design

Typical Job Nature/ Job Duties

  • To plan and furnish the interior of different types of buildings
  • To suggest ideas on the spatial dimension and furniture
  • To co-ordinate between client and construction regarding budget, tender, contract and construction work

 

Graphic Design

  • Assistant Graphic Designer/Visualizer, Graphic/Computer Graphic Designer
  • Assistant Art Director, Art Director

Typical Job Nature/ Job Duties     

  • Design jobs relating to products, e.g. Logos, posters, information systems, packaging, publications and brochures
  • Design jobs relating to printed materials such as book, journal, including test or graphics layout, typography and illustrations, etc.

 

Industrial Design

Advertising/Commercial Design

Job Nature/Typical Job Duties

  • Create two-dimensional or three-dimensional designs in ornamentation, illustration, advertisement, decoration and packaging of products for commercial promotion
  • Promote, create and amend design drafts to meet market demand

General Requirements                    

  • A degree in Fine Art/Design or recognized certification of artistic talent and skills, however, applicants may also demonstrate their abilities by pieces of work
  • Creative and artistic
  • Able to express oneself well, both verbally and in writing
  • Possess knowledge in that respective stream, e.g. Industrial products, Building Ordinance, Jewelry
  • Able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
