Updates on University Software Standards Effective from Feb 2022

ITSC constantly reviews the University Software Standards to reflect changes of technology and security requirement. The following is a summary of major changes effective from Feb 2022.

For operating system, Windows 11 is put into Acceptable Software.
(Note: ITSC user guides now include related settings in Windows 11 if discrepancy is found between Windows 10 and 11 e.g. CUHK VPN.)
For Office, Office 2021 LTSC is added into Acceptable Software. Meanwhile, Office 2013 Professional Plus is removed and that of 2016 is discouraged to use.
