Professor Victor Chan has resigned from the position as Head of Chung Chi College due to health reason with effect from 1 January 2016. As of 1 January, Professor Fong Wing Ping, Professor in the School of Life Sciences and Associate Head of Chung Chi College, will be the Acting Head of Chung Chi College until the new College Head is appointed.
Meanwhile, the selection of new College Head has been initialized. In accordance with the relevant statute of the University Ordinance, a selection committee which is chaired by the Vice-Chancellor and consisted of one College Trustee and six College Fellows shall recommend to the University Council the appointment of the new College Head. The representatives elected by the Board of Trustees and the Assembly of Fellows to the committee are Board Chairman Mr. Li Kwok Sing Aubrey and six Fellows namely Prof. Cheung Yuet Wah, Prof. Fong Wing Ping, Prof. Ko Wing Hung, Prof. Leung Yuen Sang, Dr. Lo Hau Man and Prof. You Hoi Sze Joyce.
