The Annual Meeting of the Advisory Committee (2020-21) of Department of Social Work was successfully held online through ZOOM on 31 March 2021. A total of 28 people, including 10 advisors from different public agencies or non-governmental organizations and 18 teaching staff members, participated in the activity.
Prof. Steven Ngai gave presentation on updates and future development of the Department and its research and education endeavors under the pandemic. Prof. Wallace Chan, Prof. To Siu-ming, Ms. Carman Wong and Dr. Joanne Leung shared with participants new initiatives in addressing emerging community needs and promoting inter-professional education. Advisors provided insightful feedback to the Department on strategies to strengthen social work education under current challenges.
