Our students participated in the Shandong Study Tour during 23 – 30 Dec 2019. The Study Tour was organised in collaboration with Shandong University. Prof. Gao Jianguo from Shandong University delivered a lecture on “Social Welfare and Social Work Education in China” and shared about the current situation and visions for the social work industry and social work education in China. Students also visited different social service agencies including the Jinan Social Welfare Institute and a service centre for the disabled.
The study tour provided an opportunity for students to explore the social welfare conditions in mainland China and cultivate their regional perspective in social work.
