International exchange students add vigour to campus once more
Students are all set for their exchange experience at CUHK and in Hong Kong.
CUHK is delighted to welcome over 200 exchange students from its partner institutions in this term. With the resumption of in-person teaching and learning, they will live and study on campus with the local students. Many students had to undergo two to three weeks of quarantine in order to study at CUHK. The Office of Academic Links has arranged a number of virtual activities ranging from information sessions to yoga classes to keep students engaged and prepared for study at CUHK and life in Hong Kong. Support from academic departments and teachers were also provided to students during the quarantine period.
The first cohort of seven Stanford University students has also arrived in Hong Kong for a term of study at CUHK under Stanford’s Bing Overseas Studies Program. In addition to taking a number of academic courses with a strong focus on China Studies and Chinese language courses, the students are also taking a survey course of Hong Kong to examine the city from multiple perspectives and to learn more about the local and the broader Chinese culture through a number of exclusive field trips and activities.
