The Fund

Apart from scholarships offered by the University and Colleges, our Department has established some scholarship for different groups of students. The scholarships for undergraduate students are GPA Admission Scholarship and GPA Overseas Scholarship.

 

Two scholarships in the name of Professor Kuan Hsin-chi to honour his contribution would be also offered to outstanding GPA students who meet the following requirements.

 

 

GPA Admission Scholarship

To be eligible, the student must:
(a) be a first-year GPA major at the University admitted through JUPAS;
(b) obtain a total HKDSE score no less than 30 based on the best 5 subjects.^

 

Remarks:
(a) ^ The Total Reference Score is the total score of the applicant calculated based on the programme selection principle (where level 5** = 7, level 5* = 6, level 5 = 5, level 4 = 4, level 3 = 3, level 2 = 2, level 1 = 1 for Category A subjects. For Category C: Other Language subjects, Grade A = 5, Grade B = 4, Grade C = 3, Grade D = 2, Grade E = 1).

 

 

GPA Overseas Scholarship

To be eligible, the student must:
(a) nominated of GPA 3W Exchange Programme by the Department.

 

Remarks:
(a) The awardees are considered and selected according to the destination and other details of the exchange, as well as their financial situation.

 

 

Professor Kuan Hsin Chi Scholarship

To be eligible, the student must:
(a) be a final-year GPA undergraduate student or a local GPA graduate of the University within the recent five years;
(b) study overseas in the following academic year after receipt of the scholarship; and
(c) have demonstrated outstanding academic results.
Should there be no suitable candidate identified in a particular year, no award shall be given out.

 

 

Professor Kuan Hsin Chi Best Thesis Award

To be eligible, the student must:
(a) be a GPA major at the University;
(b) have taken the course GPAD3445 Senior Thesis Research I or GPAD3456 Senior Thesis Research II in the award year; and
(c) have demonstrated outstanding academic results in the course listed in (b).
Should there be no suitable candidate identified in a particular year, no award shall be given out.
