The Lingnan Collection consists of 325 titles in 2,149 volumes of Chinese rare books from the CUHK library collection, covering works by Guangdong literati, either born in Guangdong or long-term residents, and works about the history, geography, economy, social and culture of Guangdong and Guangxi. It also contains Chinese translations of Western writings published in the Lingnan region.
Also included are some early publications from Hong Kong, such as Zhengxinlu (Annual Report) of the Tung Wah Hospital and Zhengxinlu (Annual Report) of the Kwong Wah Hospital, These materials are useful resources for studying the elites of the early Chinese community and medical history in Hong Kong.
