Spreading Wings
Another major benefit of a CUHK education is the opportunity to take part in student exchanges and internships around the world. Currently, the university has exchange partnerships with more than 270 world-renowned institutions in over 30 countries and regions, with programmes ranging in length from one term or a summer to a full academic year.
About 6,000 CUHK students study abroad or take part in experiential learning programmes and internships outside Hong Kong every year. At the same time, the university welcomes about 1,600 visiting students annually.

Making Connections
CUHK believes strongly that students from different cultures can learn from each other and broaden their international horizons and opportunities. The university has some 2,400 non-local undergraduate students undertaking degree-seeking studies on campus. Around 600 non-local undergraduate students were admitted this year alone from all corners of the world. Full scholarships covering tuition and living expenses are offered to eligible non-local students to study at CUHK.
Karlygach Kainazarova came to CUHK to study business administration from Kyrgyzstan on scholarship after winning a top national examination award in her home country. She chose Hong Kong to study because of its competitiveness and economic status. She was attracted by CUHK’s vibrant university life and its unique college system and hopes to make many friends from different disciplines.

Abdalla Mohamed Salama Sayed Moustafa, who was born in Egypt and grew up in Germany, chose to study engineering at CUHK because of the university’s excellence in teaching and research achievements.
