Dear fellow colleagues and students,
The Chinese University Student Information System (CUSIS), accessible via the revamped University portal - MyCUHK, will go live on 5 July 2010 (Monday). For details, please visit http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/cusis/golive.html.
Through CUSIS, students can manage a range of personal and academic information online. More specifically, they can: |
- |
update and view their addresses and phone numbers; |
- |
submit various online applications (e.g. credit transfer and pay the related fees); |
- |
register classes online and obtain confirmation in real-time. Undergraduate students can enroll both major and elective courses at the same time while postgraduate students can view their required courses; |
- |
view their official grades and unofficial transcripts. |
CUSIS will allow teaching staff to access and manage various teaching and learning information on one single platform rather than through multiple systems. For instance, teaching staff can: |
- |
Search their class rosters and obtain real-time student information online, e.g. English and Chinese names, year of admission, college designation, study year and program enrolled; |
- |
send mass email to the whole class or individual students via the class rosters provided by CUSIS. |
To facilitate you to explore the various CUSIS functions, the project team has developed and made a series of computer-based training (CBT) modules available at CUSIS website for your reference.
For more details about CUSIS, please do not hesitate to visit our CUSIS website: http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/cusis/ or contact the CUSIS Project Team (cusis@cuhk.edu.hk / 26961998).
Yours faithfully,
Ching Pak-chung
Chairman of Steering Committee on the Development of CUSIS
