Ignatian Spirituality and the Contemporary World
〈依納爵靈修與當代世界〉
董澤龍神父主編 (Chief Editor: Fr. Stephen Tong, SJ)
Seven authors have penned for this issue with the theme “Ignatian Spirituality in the Contemporary World.” Ignatian Spirituality is centered on the Spiritual Exercises developed by St. Ignatius of Loyola, a fifteenth-century figure. Although centuries had passed, Ignatian Spirituality remains popular around the world as a dynamic spirituality in contrast to contemplative spirituality. The authors wrote from different aspects to show how it is still related to us in the contemporary world. Particularly that in 2019, the Society of Jesus has issued four apostolic preferences for the coming decade, with showing “the way to God through the Spiritual Exercises and discernment” as the first priority. The authors’ reflection in this collection comes at a good time.
