Jette HANSEN EDWARDS is a Fellow of CW Chu College, a Professor of Applied English Linguistics, and Head of the Department of English in the Faculty of Arts at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She obtained her BA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (English), MA from Purdue University (English) and PhD from The Ohio State University (Foreign and Second Language Education). Born in Denmark, Hansen Edwards moved to the United States at age of 10, when her family immigrated to the state of Wisconsin. Hansen Edwards also lived in Japan for 1½ years, where she taught English as a foreign language. She has been living in Hong Kong since 2003. Hansen Edwards has been teaching at CUHK since 2005.
