Dr LEUNG Hoi Tik Alvin

LEUNG Hoi Tik Alvin joined CW Chu College in 2016. He obtained his BSc in Mathematics and Physics from the Univeristy of Hong Kong. After completing his undergraduate studies, he moved to Cambridge to study for his PhD, at which time he was a member of St John’s College. He has fond memories of his college life, especially on interacting with peers from various disciplines. Prior to joining CUHK as a lecturer in physics in early 2016, Alvin completed his postdoctoral training in the cultural melting pot of Basel.

In his university days, Alvin was actively involved in volunteer work outside his studies. His past volunteer experience ranges from tutoring primary school kids in community centre to organising tea parties for housebound elderly. He believes that volunteer experience has tremendously shaped his outlook on life and looks forward to opportunities to share his experience with members from CWC.
