The Chinese University of Hong Kong has always been taking a pioneering role in the initiation and the development of sports medicine and sports science in Hong Kong. Our Hong Kong Centre of Sports Medicine and Sports Science, initiated in 1983, has an excellent track record of pioneering work in the field and has gained recognition by renowned international institutions and organization. Our Centre has been designated by the World Health Organization (WHO) as the CUHK-WHO Collaborating Centre for Sports Medicine and Health Promotion in the year of 1997.

This Sports Medicine Education Fund is designed to support our Centre to advance the science and practice of sports medicine through education, thereby contributing to the ultimate goals of health promotion, disease prevention and a new culture of active living with the premise of the heritage that we have gathered in our experience for the past 20 years in promotion of sports medicine.
