The Macau Team Physician Advanced Course (TPAC), jointly organized by Asian Federation of Sports Medicine (AFSM) and CUHK-WHO Collaborating Centre for Sports Medicine and Health Promotion with the support of the Macao 2nd Asian Indoor Games Organising Committee (MAIGOC) and the Department of Orthpaedics and Traumatology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, was conducted with great success at The Centro Hospitalar C.S. Januario (Peak Hospital), Macau on Sep 29-30, 2007.

The 1.5 day program was comprised of both lectures and practical hands-on workshop with the aim is to prepare doctors, nurse, paramedics and physiotherapists for the upcoming Macau 2007 2nd Asian Indoor Games (Oct 26-Nov 3, 2007).

A total of 11 renowned faculties with the background in Orthopaedics & Traumatology, Accidents & Emergency, Physiotherapy, and Sports Science were invited. They all have contributed to the course by delivering stimulating lectures on the management of different acute sports injuries and acute medical condition as well as conducting interactive workshops on the on-field management and physical examinations. The participants had also the chance to practice their examination skills on real clinical cases of different sports injuries. The course was well received by the participants with the attendance of over 40, who found the program comprehensive and stimulating.
