CUHK-WHO Collaborating Centre for Sports Medicine and Health Promotion has always been enthusiastic in
promoting health to the community. So far, two projects, funded by Health Care and Promotion Fund, have
been carried out. The impact of the two projects has been very impressive and were both well recognized
by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
At the Health Promotion Project Expo 2006, “To promote Tai Chi as an
exercise to enhance the health promotion aspect of osteoporosis” has been selected for the
Outstanding Health Promotion Project Award
by the Promotion Sub-committee. The other project, “Active Living –
the Way to Healthy Ageing” has also been graded as Excellent.
Our centre will continue our efforts in health promotion and we believe that the above awards will
just push us to do even better in the future.
