Introduction
Diamond has emerged as a promising material for applications in quantum spintronics, nano-magnetometry, photonics, and bio-sensing and bio-imaging. In recent years we have witnessed rapid progresses and are facing diamond opportunities in attacking a few crown-jewel challenges in their respective fields, such as quantum computing, single-molecule NMR, and nanoscale MRI. Yet we are confronting non-trivial challenges that summon forces from multidisciplinary fields, ranging from materials science, quantum information, magnetic resonance spectroscopy, photonics, biology, and nanoscience. Therefore, following the previous one in Bad Honnef, Germany, we organize this focus Workshop on Diamond - Spintronics, Photonics, Bio-applications. We expect to recruit active researchers working on basic study and applications of diamond to discuss the most recent progresses and the most compelling challenges. The Workshop will have invited talks and a poster session. Interested are welcome to register (invitations will then be sent to selected participants). We look forward to working together with you in the workshop.
