Introduction
Biophysics is a highly interdisciplinary field of research and postgraduate students working in
biophysics major in a variety of disciplines including physics, chemistry and biology.
The goal of our series of annual symposium is to promote postgraduate research in
biophysics in Hong Kong. The 1st symposium on Biophysics Postgraduate Research in Hong Kong was
successfully held at CUHK in October 2014. The 2nd Symposium was held at HKBU in January 2016.
In January 2017, the 3rd Symposium was held at CityU. The 4th Symposium on Biophysics Postgraduate
Research in Hong Kong was held at HKUST at April 2018.
The 5th Symposium on Biophysics Postgraduate Research in Hong Kong will be held at CUHK at Saturday, Aug 10, 2019. Prof. Zhou, Huan-Xiang from the University of Illinois at Chicago will deliver the keynote speech. This will be followed by a poster session and several invited talks from local scientists working on biophysics.
The symposium is FREE, but all the participants of interest are required to register in advance (Click here to register). Students are highly encouraged to present posters of their research.
This symposium is partially supported by Research Grants Council Postgraduate Students Conference/Seminar Grants.
