Abstract
Existing model selection approaches in time series analysis such as AIC, BIC and their cousins have tended to address issues other than the captioned problem, which I argue is the more relevant in practical situations. In this talk, I will present some new results based on recent joint work with H-L Hsu and Ching-Kang Ing.
