A delegation led by Prof. Bai Chunli, President of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 23 November 2012 to learn the latest development of the various joint establishments between the two parties and to renew the mutual collaborative agreements. During the visit, the delegation was warmly greeted by the CUHK Senior Management and received progress updates on joint laboratories established between CUHK and CAS in a discussion session. Prof. K.P. Fung and Prof. Lin Ge of our School briefed the CAS delegation on the research achievements and development in their respective capacity of Deputy Director of State Key Laboratory of Phytochemistry and Plant Resources in West China (CUHK), and Director of CUHK-CAS Joint Research Laboratory for Promoting Globalization of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Meanwhile, Prof. Nelson Tang, Associate Member of our Reproduction, Development and Endocrinology Program and Prof. Pei Duanqing, our Adjunct Professor, also briefed the visitors in their respective capacity of Associate Director of CAS Kunming Institute of Zoology-CUHK Joint Laboratory of Bio-resources and Molecular Research of Common Diseases, and Co-Director of CUHK-CAS Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health Joint Research Laboratory on Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine.
