Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Director of the School of Biomedical Sciences, was invited to attend and chair the “2018 Frontiers in Zoology Symposium” (Chinese version only), which was held in the Kunming Institute of Zoology (KIZ), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China on 26 February 2018. Four remarkable scientists from China, Japan and Denmark were invited to the Symposium to give keynote lectures on the theme “An Integrated Investigation on the Correlation between Tibetan Plateau and Animals in East Asia”, which had attracted over 70 national and overseas scientists and researchers. Our School has been maintaining a close relationship with KIZ since the establishment of the KIZ-CUHK Joint Laboratory of Bio-resources and Molecular Research in Common Diseases, with respect to academic research (see previous academic exchange activities: July 2010, June and August 2012, late November to early December 2012) and student exchanges (see previous student exchange activities: August 2013, November 2015, August 2016, November 2016 and August 2017).
