Project Objectives

The project is to:
  • develop coursewares for dedicated teachers;
  • identify good practices adopted by these teachers with a view to devising a generic model for courseware development; and
  • further promote this generic model for use by a wider teaching community.

Key deliverables expected and timelines for completion

  • Coursewares developed at Phase 1;
  • Good practices identified to build a generic model at Phase 2;
  • Use the generic model at Phase 3 to build coursewares for specific courses;
  • Launch a showcase website and organize workshops to disseminate the identified methodologies, technologies, pedagogies, and/or ready-to-use authoring tools at Phase 4; and
  • Extended use of the generic model by more teachers for developing coursewares to enrich student learning experience by the end of the project.

Arrangements for evaluation of project deliverables/outcomes

The project will pay particular attention to the special requirements of teachers during the course development cycle. Qualitative and/or quantitative methods will be used to elicit feedback for evaluation of the model and the outcomes.

Means for disseminating project deliverables/outcomes

Dissemination will be done through websites and workshops to publicize and promote to teachers of CUHK and other tertiary institutions.
