Learning Processes
Learning at CUHK is an active process where students engage in a self-directed and exciting personal learning journey – in which they take on responsibility for engaging with the curriculum. A range of different learning activities are employed: lectures, tutorials, projects, laboratory sessions, presentations, independent research and group work – to develop the broad spectrum of skills and attitudes.
The formal curriculum is supplemented by a wide range of experiential learning opportunities.
This overall learning process includes interaction and engagement with designed learning tasks, individually and in groups, within the learning environment. Teachers facilitate these learning tasks and associated activities. However, for the best learning outcomes, such as critical thinking and problem solving, just completing set tasks is not enough. CUHK students will develop independent learning skills so that they can review, reflect and improve upon on their learning.
