GLOBE is a one-of-its-kind business education programme which aims to cultivate a global mindset in its students through first-hand experience. In prior years, Year 1 and 2 GLOBE students were given a golden chance to experience the dynamic business world on an orientation trip abroad before school started. In 2005, they went to Nagoya and Osaka. In 2006, they visited Singapore. This year, the destination was South Korea. In this historical and industrial tour, they understood how the history, national spirit, culture and economic situations of Korea affect business decision making, and learnt how its successful electronics and heavy industries came into being.

Korea Tourism Organization

During the visit, GLOBE students learnt about the mission and roles of the government-funded organization, as well as how the newest technological advancements and utilization of local culture helped boost tourism.

Samsung Electronics Company

At Suwon, the birthplace of Samsung Electronics Company, GLOBE students had the opportunity to feel and touch some of the fi nest and latest electronic products. At the same time, they came to appreciate the effort of the company to incorporate practicality and style into their designs - to lead the age of digital convergence. Samsung Electronics Company also revealed to GLOBE students their new management strategies and how they contributed to their success.
