This year, the 2016 IIBD International Case Competition is jointly organized by Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands and Hong Kong Baptist University. A team of CUHK Business School students from the Global Business Programs won the Silver Award with 400 Euros in the Competition on November 18, 2016. The team consisted of Yody Chiu Mei-ka (GBS, Year 3), Joyce Mok Wing-sze (GBS, Year 3), Gary Fung Kin-wing (GBS, Year 3) and Colin Law Chung-ho (IBCE, Year 2).
In this edition of the competition, student teams from 18 universities in 9 countries submitted their case analysis in the first round. After two rounds of review by a panel of 12 assessors, 6 teams were selected to enter the final round. The finalist teams were invited to Windesheim University of Applied Sciences to compete for awards in the Competition.
The IIBD International Case Competition aims to strengthen internationalization through the enhancement of student and faculty networks, both social as well as professional. The Competition highlights the strategic challenges and managerial dilemmas faced by global business leaders. Students have to apply their creativity and problem-solving skills to solve a real world business problem, to formulate workable and action-oriented recommendations.
