30 January 2016
Around 80 high school students attended the GBS Day on 30 January 2016. Dr John Lai, Program Director, started with a program overview. Alumni from technology company, government and banks then took over and shared their average work day to unveil the mystery of various industries. Participants were then engaged to a mock case study where they got a taste of how business students analyze problems and work in a team. At the interview skill workshop, participants were given tips on how to present their true self to impress the interviewers. Representatives from the program Partner Universities, Copenhagen Business School and Kenan-Flagler Business School of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, were invited to introduce their home universities to potential students. Towards the end of the program, participants are connected with current students and alumni at the mix and mingle session.
Extracts from participants’ feedback:
“I like the mock case study the most! The best activities are always putting skills into practice.”
“I like the mix and mingle session where I get to understand the program more from the perspective of alumni.”
“The event provided in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the program.”
