Four Global Business Studies (GBS) Year 1 students championed at the Academic Cup, an annual event organized by the Faculty of Business Administration at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
The Academic Cup, held annually since 1999, is a business case competition that aims at providing business undergraduates with an opportunity to put theories into practice, and strengthening their analytical and presentation skills. This year, over 60 teams participated. The GBS team, Zenith, comprising Lawrence Chan, Peter Lam, Angela Li and Eileen Yue, won the champion.

Two Year 2 GBS students also performed outstandingly in an international competition. The team, comprising Derek Sin and Juliana Tam, won the second place in the Artemisia Social-Business Competition organized by AIESEC International. 44 teams from 28 countries participated in this business plan competition. The team was awarded a financial prize of US$3,000 to develop their social venture and will attend the “Social-Business Summit” to be held in Brazil in December.
