Courseware Development Grant Scheme (CDGS)
List of the projects funded by CDGS for 2007-08, 2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 are provided in the respective pages.
Courseware Development Grant Scheme (CDGS) for 2019-2022 is allocated by Teaching Development and Language Enhancement Grant (TDLEG) to facilitate the production of exemplary examples of micro-modules (MMs) and non-MM courseware, the promotion and capacity building for pedagogy research on eLearning, the development of high-quality Small Private Online Courses (SPOCs) from high-quality micro-modules, and the adoption of eLearning and innovative pedagogies. CDGS is managed and monitored by the Sub-Committee on Education Technologies of the University’s IT Governance Committee (ITGC-SET).
CDGS and Micro-Module Courseware Development Grant Scheme (MMCDGS) are consolidated into one in 2019-22 so as to enhance flexibility on the part of teachers and make optimal use of the available funding to support the implementation of the eLearning Strategic and Action Plan 2019-22 and the MOOC Strategic and Action Plan 2019-22.
Application for the funding is now open. Interested teachers should refer to the Guidance Notes regarding assessment criteria, financial and reporting arrangements, and complete the application form. Please use [Staff ID] as the Username and [OnePass password] to access the Guidance Notes.
- Individual applications will be reviewed in TWO batches on a first-come-first-served basis, and project supervisors will be informed of the results as soon as possible. The deadline for Batch 1 Review is 26 January 2021 (Tuesday). The deadline for Batch 2 Review is 16 February 2021 (Tuesday).
- Completed application forms should be sent to Ms. Judy Lo, Secretary of ITGC-SET, via email to cdgs@cuhk.edu.hk as soon as possible and before 26 January 2021 / 16 February 2021, with the specification of the subject “Application for CDGS 2019-22 Scheme 1/2/3/4”.
- Applications will be closed once the available funding of HK$10.28 million planned for this round is exhausted.
