The participants presented reports and shared information on the questions of how to create a conducive study environment for first year students and assist them in learning successfully from the perspectives of curriculum design, pedagogies, implementation model and course evaluation.  Colleagues who attended wrote on what they learned at the conference in volume 3 of the University General Education Bulletin, including such topics as the First Year Experience, the widely used First Year Experience criteria, curriculum or course evaluation, etc.
