The first phase of the pilot programme was introduced. Each course has one session that students could take as an elective. |

The second phase of the pilot programme was introduced. Each course has 5 sessions that students can take as an elective. |
2010 |
The soft launch of the programme. All Secondary 6 entrants would need to take the 2 General Education foundation courses starting from the second semester of their first year. |

The full-fledged launch of the programme. Every student would need to take the 2 General Education foundation courses starting from the second semester of their first year. |
